We lived about ten blocks from our local movie theater, the Della Theater, until it closed in 1964. I remember being driven there a few times, but also walking it with my brothers and/or sisters. The last movie I can recall seeing there was Mary Poppins. Other movies I remember seeing there: 1959 (4-5 years old) 1960 (5-6 years old) 1961 (6-7 years old) 1962 (7-8 years old) 1963 (8-9 years old) 1964 (9-10 years old) After Della closed and was torn down in 1964, we typically went to Capitol or Palace theaters in downtown Flint.
